I adore You Book cover by Fardous Hosseiny

I Adore You

In Fardous' first foray into children's literature, his children's book, written in a rhyming style, follows the journey of Sana a young girl who flees Afghanistan abruptly with her family and eventually settles in Canada.

While almost everything has changed virtually overnight, she finds comfort and constancy in her teddy bear and friend who is her wise counsel and confidante as she navigates life in this new world.

Written through the eyes of a child, the experiences of Sana can offer hope to the children of today who now find themselves displaced amidst conflict that happiness can be found despite these incredible challenges they face.

The story is based on the true life experiences of authors Fardous Hosseiny and Jaihoon Nawzadi.

Book Reviews

Hearing the story of someone else’s experience is so often a lifeline for one navigating a life-changing event. Those who’ve survived the unthinkable often feel compelled to share our own stories in the anticipation someone somewhere may find a glimmer of hope better days are possible. In this beautiful book, Fardous has taken the unfathomable experiences of a child being forced from his home due to war, and while finding safety in a new land, facing the many challenges that come with this, armed with the friendship of a trusted teddy. Giving voice to his own experiences will provide many children with a powerful example of how the shared strength of family, courage, and community can spark a new beginning.
